Picnic Village is an authentic Botanical garden. with different gardens laid out in mesmerizing formats – Panchvati having five trees on behalf of the Panch boots, fertility and life, triveni a remarkable amalgamation of a huge Banyan, Peepal and Neem tree growing as one. Triphla kunj (three medicinal plants growing together – Anwala, Harad and Baheda), 27 trees in Nakshatra matching each Nakshatra, Rashi vatika having 12 trees as per the Zodiac Signs and Navgrah Vatika with 9 plants according to the heavenly bodies which influence human beings as per Indian astrology. Here you get to see the medicinal plants – Aloe vera, Ashavagandha (Indian ginseng), Giloy (Amritvalli) and different varieties of Tulsi (Holy basil) and many more in our Aushadh Vatika. Come to us and be a farmer for a day – involve yourself in agriculture, gardening or dairy activities of the Picnic Village farm interact with the local village workers. Plough a field with camels, bulls or tractors as per the season sow seeds, reap and winnow (as per season). Have a look at our vegetable garden. Get the smell of various crops growing in the farm. Come and see how we do not poison our surroundings with pesticides and insecticides or degrade our environment. How we use biogas plant, farm yard manure and create wormi-compost.
Make the creative genes in you pop out with a hand on experience of making ethnic terracotta bowls, and lamps or Weaving a thread on the Charkha, paint a matka or paint frescoe on mud lepai (mud plastered walls). A wide variety of choices of rural activities to make it an unforgettable experience. Cook, pound grain, grind atta (flour), make ghee and buttermilk or simply balance a water pail on your head like an authentic haryanvi woman.

Breakfast and Lunch buffets are set separately. Chakki Fresh Atta is used (freshly ground flour from the best local wheat, locally grown vegetables, poultry, meat; combined with local favorites – Makhan (white butter), Chancch (butter milk), Desi Ghee (clarified butter) and hand selected spices create a treat of fresh flavor and simply a taste to remember – a culinary experience which will remain with you for a long time.
Picnic Village is easily approachable from Delhi and lies within the National Capital Region just 45 Kms from the Indra Gandhi International Airport (via Nazafgarh), only 50 kms from Peeragarhi chowk (via Bahdurgarh) for people in North Delhi and 50 kms from Rajiv chowk in Gurgaon(via sultanpur lake & Farukhnagar) being so close it is still in the midst of rural India.
