AMRITSAR-WAGAH BORDER-SCIENCE CITY

Sri Harminder Sahib, is also known as Darbar Sahib or Golden Temple is the most prominent religious places of the Sikh or Sikh Gurdwara. It is located in the centre of the city of Amritsar in Punjab state of India and is one of the biggest tourist attractions. Thousands of pilgrims and tourists visit the Golden Temple. Amritsar's name is actually named after the pond which was built by Guru Ram Das by his own hands.

Near Golden Temple is Jallianwala Bagh, in Amritsar. On 13 April 1919 in a small garden where the English army led by Brigadier General Dyer fired on unarmed, peaceful old men, women and children and killed and hundreds of people and injured thousands. If any event had the most impact on the Indian freedom struggle, the event was the massacre Jallianwala Bagh.

Wagah Border, is an international border between India and Pakistan. The nearest township is Amritsar. It has become a very popular tourist spot visited in the evening for seeing the gorgeous site of flag lowering both by the Indian and Pakistani Forces.

TOUR PROGRAMME:

Day 01 From New Delhi Railway Station board Shatabdi Exp at 0720 hrs for Amritsar. Arrive Amritsar at 1325 hrs. Transfer to hotel for check in. lunch. After lunch proceed for Wagah Border. At the border you get a glimpse of the traditional march past & flag ceremony performed by the soldiers of India & Pakistan. You see the troops putting up a spectacular display of change of guard at Indo-Pakistan border. Then drive back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 02 Early in the morning visit the Golden Temple & the famous Jalianwala Bagh to offer your tribute to the Martyrs. After breakfast depart for Science City. Arrive Science City. Enjoy the various activities and sights at the Pushpa Gujral Science City. Lunch. In the evening transfer to the station to board Swarna Shatabdi Express. Arrive New Delhi Railway Station at 2305 hrs
