Jaipur (in Rajasthani: Japper) meaning help• Is also known as the Pink City, is the capital of Rajasthan state in India. This is known as Amber Fort in Jaipur is the capital of an ancient dynasty. The city was founded in 1728 by Maharaja Jai Singh II of Amber. Jaipur is famous for it's rich tradition, culture and historical significance. The city is surrounded by the Aravalli hills on three sides. These have have been joined together by walls to form a natural Rampart. The palaces and old houses at Jaipur City are made by Pink Dholpur stones which are characteristic of the architecture here. Maharaja Sawai Ram Singh in 1876 to welcome the then Prince of Wales, Prince Albert of England's Queen Elizabeth got the whole city painted pink. Since then the city has been known as the pink city.

Surrounded by walls and ramparts the city, has got seven doors for entry. Subsequently another gate called the New Gate was made. The whole city is divided into six parts, and the city Is divided by wide roads 111 -foot or( 34 m.). The city is divided in 5 parts the central part being covered by the Eastern, Southern and Western. The sixth is located in the extreme east. Hawa Mahal palace complex, has gardens and a small lake. Nahargarh fort on the hill north west of the city looks like a crown. Also in the central part King Sawai Jai Singh made an observatory, Jantar Mantar.

Modern urban planners were employed by the King of Jaipur and the city is known as a well planned and organised city. The name of the city's famous architect is Vidyadhar Bhattacharya. During British rule, it was ruled by the Rajput rulers Kachwaha community. The expansion began in the 19th century when the city population was 160,000, according to 2001 data now the number has 2,334,319. The main industries here are metal, marble, textile - printing, handicrafts, gems and jewelery import and export and tourism etc.. Jaipur is known as the Paris of India. The architecture of the city is so perfect if you take measurements it will not vary by even a millimeter.

Day 01 Depart for Jaipur, early in the morning Your pick-up point will be Shivaji Park Metro near Connaught Place. The route takes you through the cities of Gurgaon, Manesar, Behror and the highway finally takes one to the historique Pink city of Jaipur. For breakfast, you can choose from one of the numerous Dhabas en-route (payable on your own). On the way visit the Amber Fort. Check into hotel, here you have your lunch. In the evening visit Birla Temple and Sanganer Hand made Paper Factory. Proceed to Chokhi Dhani Cultural village Return to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 02 After breakfast visit Hawa Mahal (From outside), City Palace & Museum, Jantar Mantar etc. Time for some shopping. Lunch(payable on your own). After lunch depart for Delhi. Arrive at Delhi at 2100 hrs.
